Tune into Skyebat's universal wavelength - a galactic frequency of Latin, pop and jazz rhythms with a French twist and a touch of the beatnik vibe. The band, based in New York, delivers an upbeat, retro sound that will have you walking on clouds.

Skyebat won Best Original Song with Step on the Moon at the 2009 Feel Good Film Festival (judges included Richard Kraft from Kraft-Engel Management) and performed at the Graumans Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles.

In 2008, the award wining filmmaker Stephanie Batailler added lyrics to the original track composed by Peter Calandra for her film Trip to the Planetarium. After much praise for the 53 seconds track Stephanie decided to extend it a full-length song and to that end contacted Kennan Keating who has worked with multi-platinum artists (Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, Blondie, Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys). Skyebat was born from that collaboration and has since been ... well, taking off.
